Kangchenjunga (8586m): ready to go

I just received the last products from my sponsors for the Kangchenjunga expedition:

– a new Gore Tex Jacket and an Expedition Light rucksack from Berghaus. This new 80+10L rucksack is amazing and weights less than 1.4 kg and just 830 grams stripped! They come in addition to all the kit that Berghaus already sent: down jacket, Gore Text pant, gloves/mitt, base layers, trekking clothes, expedition bag, shoes, etc. They also provided a lot of kit for Anna who plans to run some section of the trekking. So thanks to the Berghaus team for the help and support to get some kit that are not yet in production.

– I also received two new Suunto Core watches. Both are new products that will come out soon. I’ll also take my T6c with the heart rate monitor that I already used on Ama Dablam. Note that will make 12 years that I use Suunto product around the World.

– last but not least, we received 4 ropes Duetto 8.4mm in 60m and 70m. Thanks Sterling Rope for these last 14 years of collaboration.

Now the 45 kg of gear are packed and we’re ready to leave for the Kangchenjunga next Wednesday. It might be difficult to send dispatch during the trekking so we might be silent until we reach the base camp around April 20th.
