Philippe Gatta and Yannick Gosseaume came back from their Peak Khan-Tengri Expedition last Friday. They have reached the summit just 9 days after leaving Nice and were back home four days later!

They have been lucky with the weather and had had good conditions on the route. They also were highly motivated to avoid doing multiple acclimatization trips in the dangerous icefall with 25kg packs… So they tried to reach the summit right after their first climb to camp 3 (5,850m) and it worked!
The story of the expedition and 55 photos are available
on Khan Tengri expedition page. This page also shows the weather forecast and the climbing route description.

The new prototypes designed by Berghaus (Down jacket, Down Pant, Expedition Lite Pack) were perfect as well as the new Suunto Ambit GPS watch and a Sterling Rope Photon 7.8mm.
