Ski touring: Cime de Guilie

Second day of ski touring this weekend. This time Anna and I went to the Boréon to climb the Cime de Guilié (2999 m). Like in Gialorgues, the snow has melted below 1700 m and it’s frozen above, so very good conditions to go up either in ski touring or snowshoes. Perfect weather where we had the chance to see both Corsica and Monte Rosa from the top of Guilié, 200 km away in opposite direction.

Distance: 11 km, ascent: 1500m / descent: 1500m.

Description: park at Boréon close to the Gite (signpost 370). Go toward the Vacherie des Erps (371, 378). Continue along the Vallon of Erps to the Col of Guilié (2639 m). Turn right and climb the final slopes of Guilié (2999 m). It’s’ possible to make a loop by descending trough the Vallon of Sangué.
