As always when the temperatures rise on the French Riviera, Deverse becomes the best climbing cliff. Unfortunately with the rain and moisture we had in the past weeks, many routes are wet but there still are enough to make a big climbing day. I still need to make some volume training before trying new project so Saturday I sent Dies Irae (8a+) and Deverse Satanique (8a+/8a) twice each, then I made another two runs in Deverse with one fall, one attempt in DeverseX (8b), and a few 7b’s. I was totally roasted at the end of the day.

Note that the access to the cliff has changed, the old trail is now closed so here is the new access: from the parking after the tunnel, walk along the old road for ~100m and take the steep trail going up. There is a 5m fixed line. Continue the steep trail, at the end either take right to go straight at the bottom of Ligne Noire, or take left toward Deverse.

Routes: 70 routes from 6a to 9a, 50+ above 8a. See the topo of Deverse here.
