Alpinism: Mont Blanc Traverse (Mont Blanc Massif)

Climbing Mont Blanc is always a pleasure. This time, Anna and I made a long traverse from Aiguille du Midi, to the 3 Monts, Dome du Gouter, Aiguille du Gouter followed by a 3,800 meters descent to Les Houches.

Saturday we left Aiguille du Midi to quickly reach the nice Cosmiques hut (3,616m) where we slept.

The traverse follows the Mont Blanc du Tacul, Mont Maudit, Col de la Brenva, the Mur de la Côte and the final slopes of Mont Blanc.

We reached the summit before 7am, enjoying the 360 degrees view over the Alps.

Then we started our descent along the Arête des Bosses.

We passed the Dome du Gouter, the 4th 4000m peak of the day, the 8th in a week for me.
