Despite its weird name, the Trou de la Mouche (the fly’s hole) is a very nice “peak” of the Aravis massif. It is actually like a natural tunnel in the cliff of Rocher Perfia peak, at 2,467m.

We made a 18 km and +1,530 meters loop starting at Les Plans / La Vendanche above Le Grand Bornand.

Trail description: from Les Plans / La Vendanche (1,055m), follow the trail of the hut of Bombardellaz. just before the hut, take South toward the Combe of Paccaly.

The trail becomes steeper below the Trou  with great view over Mont Blanc Massif.

Cross the Trou and go down in the Combe du Grand Crêt.

Continue to Les Confins and then back down to Les Plans.
