With a weather forecast too bad to go in the mountain, we changed our plan to run around Rochers des Fiz and Pointe d’Anterne. This 30 km Trail is definitively a must do!

We started the trail at Plaine Joux (1360 m), above Servoz.

Trail around Rochers des Fiz: start at Plaine Joux. Follow the Grand Tour du Pays Mont Blanc trail to Ayeres des Pierrieres. Take the left trail to the Passage du Dérochoir. Climb along the ladders and fixed ropes, steep terrain. Follow then a vairante of the GR96, pass the Refuge de Sales (hut) until the jonction with the GR5. Follow the GR5. Pass the Chalets d’Anterne, the lake of Anterne up to the Col d’Anterne (2250m). Run back down to Plaine Joux along the Grand Tour du Pays Mont Blanc.
