Looking for a nice trail around Aiguille de Bionnassay and Domes de Miage?
This is a very scenic 18 km and +1,760 meters loop…

Aiguille de Bionnassay and Domes de Miage are very nice peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif. We just did a trail loop on their West flank up to the refuge de Plan Glacier (hut) and Col du Tricot.

Trail description: start at La Gruvaz, near Les Contamines-Montjoie.

The trail to the refuge de Plan Glacier is well marked. It crosses the Chalet de Miage and continue through a steep slope to the hut (2,680 m).

From the hut, take the technical trail to Col du Tricot (pass).

From the Col du Tricot go down to the Chalet de Miage, follow the GR Tour du Pays du Mont Blanc and leave it to take a steep descent back to la Gruvaz.
